The Normative Esotericism project will be in Amsterdam! On May 18, Justine Bakker and Tanya Cheadle will talk about the concept of "normative esotericism" during a symposium on Esotericism and Normativity, hosted by HHP at the University of Amsterdam. Brennan Kettelle and Sydney Sheedy will present case studies, drawn from their contribution to our forthcoming edited collection Esotericism and Normativity. Wouter Hanegraaff will present on his new book, Esotericism in Western Culture: Counter-Normativity and Rejected Knowledge (Bloomsbury, 2025).

In February 2026, the Normative Esotericism project hosted a sold-out public event on Ithell Colquhoun at the Hunterian Art Gallery in Glasgow. Amy Hale gave a public talk entitled "Ithell Colquhoun's Radical Normativities."
